Make sure to always check everyone especially the builder, contractors and lender.
If home comes with appliances check to see that they function properly so you don't have to pay out of pocket for repairs that insurance doesn't cover.
All veterans should look into VU before settling on a loan company.
They managed to guide two know-nothing kids through the process and made it painless. Would do it again.
