In the beginning, the home buying process was very intimidating. I had a lot of questions and concerns especially for this being my first time experience. I was turned down by a big bank for a home loan then found Veterans United on line. Their pre-qualification process was super fast. Once I received my qualification the rest of the processes were seamless. As stressful as I thought it was going to be, I couldn’t have been less stressed during any of it. Our loan was a re-fi from a builders/bridge loan as our home is a new build. So doing that with the VA can be complicated. So plan ahead and give yourself extra closing time if you find yourself in the same situation.

I was in a sticky situation. My landlord gave me 30 days notice to move out because he was selling the house (I was on month to month rent since I lived there for 5 years). So I called VU and gave them the scoop. They gave me a pre-approval that day. As of Oct 4th I now own my own home. A little over 30 days. If you have your ducks in a row it can be done.
