I was a first time home buyer that was not truly ready for the home buying process. I did not know anything about the steps to buy a house or what was required and when I got into contact with veterans united specifically Derek Russell he explained everything in a simple to understand matter. Before I knew it I was pre-qualified and able to submit bids on houses. Shortly after this I had to move around the country so I backed out of the home buying process. Derek over the next year and a half respectfully kept in contact and assured me that when I was ready again we would have no problems. After this time I was ready again and Derek had me ready to bid on houses in a matter of days. After I had some problems with real estate agents only looking out for themselves and not truly helping us I reached out to Derek to ask for a recommendation and he got me connected with the best local real estate agent. I had an offer accepted and began the closing process on our dream home in less than a week. This is really where veterans united separated from the rest of the lenders. Derek Russell and Nate Arni and the veterans united team made sure I knew everything I needed to do and assisted me in getting everything done in a timely manner to expedite the closing. When I communicated to them that I needed the closing to be a few days early due to my lease that I was leaving they did everything in their power to make that happen and succeeded.
