Veterans United is the best VA home lender

First time buyer. The team was Great, and completing everything online. Was helpful. I'm a truck driver. And getting everything done on the road was interesting. Thanks to the Team.

Highly recommend for Veterans looking to buy a home.

Topics that will be discussed below:
-To-do list
-Communication
-Time managementSo, I have been waiting months for an opportunity to write this review. Very rarely do I ever care enough to take the effort and write a review on a company, good or bad, but today I've got time. I never expected to have such a negative experience with a ,"veteran friendly," company. My to-do list was horrific to complete in a timely manner, simply for the fact that they inconsistently sent out requests for things. It would have been much easier if they posted everything you need to complete all at once, so you're able to knock all of it out. The underwriter they use, for lack of better terms, had no clue what they were doing. They shouldn’t be working closely with a veteran friendly company, if they don’t know anything about military statuses. I couldn’t have been the first person to have dual statuses, with the reserves and active duty.
The communication wasn't there either, in ways it should have been. It was notably so horrible, that I didn't even know I was closing on my house, until the day I was supposed to close. How does that even happen? I don’t think I’ve ever dialed a phone number so fast in my life, to get a hold of my loan specialist. The specialist was very nice, sure, but even she admitted she had dropped the ball on things entirely.
The next thing that I was equally as frustrated about, would include the poor punctuality. Some of which, I’m cognizant of the fact, wasn’t always the loan teams fault. But the loan team would schedule hours to call me, then not call me at all or call way out of the allotted time we agreed upon. I work in a fairly dangerous career field, so I am unable to just step away and take phone calls. That’s why I needed them to be punctual on times we agreed upon. It took me getting more than hateful on the phone about their unprofessionalism, before this started to get better.
The one good thing I can say about the company is that my interest rate was really good, but that’s going to vary buyer to buyer. I would not recommend this company and have actively gone out of my way to let my friends, family, and especially my fellow veterans, to not use this company.

I was so pleased with the customer service from Amanda and the rest of her staff. They were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable throughout the entire process.
I would highly recommend Veterans United.

Eric was great. Him and Matthew helped in any way they could. Communication between myself, the Va Team and realtor was flawless. I’ve already recommended a handful of people to Eric. There is no reason to not give this team all 10’s. Thank you all.

To any potential veterans looking to use their VA Loan. I recommend them 100%. They made buying a home so easy to do, and were there every step of the way.

Alex and Veterans United were absolutely outstanding to work with! He was timely with his responses, extremely knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. As someone who isn't a mortgage expert Alex was excellent at breaking down and explaining things that might have been confusing or that I might have had questions on. Throughout the hectic and stressful home buying process the one constant I didn't have to worry about was Alex and his mortgage team. They were prompt and always had their stuff in order. I would definitely recommend Alex and his whole team and I would personally use Veterans United again without hesitation.

Veterans United was great to work with during the loan process. Someone was in constant contact about the process and seemed very personable. Thank you!

Veterans United was simple and easy to work with, and you are informed of every step along the way.
The team was just as excited as I was when we obtained the home ( only due to current seller's market).
I also received an expected gift from VU, which was very pleasant.
