Veterans United was by far the best company to purchase a home with in my experience. I have utilized 2 other companies in the past for home purchase/refinance and I couldn't not be more pleased with the ease of everything, the communication, and user functionality of everything. Total success and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

What a great experience.

Haley Moore was our loan coordinator and she was non-responsive. We hold her responsible for our closing date being pushed back due to her lack of communication. She sometimes responded to emails, but even when she did respond she was generally unhelpful.Currently we are trying to get a situation figured out with our homeowners insurance, we got an email stating they hadn't received their escrow payment and that our insurance will be canceled next week. I have emailed, called, left messages, and texted Haley and Don and have not heard a single word back from either.I usually like to leave great reviews, but this experience has been generally bad and we will never use veterans united again.
Response from Veterans United
On behalf of all of us here at Veterans United, we want to thank you for providing honest feedback around your loan experience. Patrick, we value your patience and commitment in sticking with your loan specialist. We know well how it can feel to resolve numerous underwriting requests as required for the VA benefit. Thanks for acknowledging this issue so that we might step in to provide further assistance. While Veterans United does not have direct control over the actions of third party providers, it is important that we work together to promote resolution for you. If you would like to review these with our team, then please reach out to one of our Client Advocates to discuss.

Flatly turned down for a VA loan by NewDay USA. Contacted Veterans United who actually explained what I had to do to get my credit where it needed to be AND helped me do it! Everyone at Veterans United that actually worked with and for me did a fabulous job. Oh by the way, Newsday USA, I closed on my new home yesterday!

We really liked how we were able to upload and e-sign so many of the documents that our closing only took 30 minutes!

Although I was sometimes impatient and overwhelmed, Jake and his team kept me in the loop and assisted me with my part of the process and was always available to answer my many questions.

A learning experience made special. Everyone was great to talk with, professional. A team of good and special folks. Sincerely, Heather Nalley

The underwriters are slow and extremely strict. I've owned 4 other homes and this was the longest and most stressful underwriting process I've dealt with.
Response from Veterans United
Che, Thank you for sharing your open and honest feedback. It is important to us that we work hard to provide excellent service, and we realize that the home buying process can become stressful when working to gather the required documentation. We apologize if you felt there were unnecessary delays during your process. Licensed Underwriters comply with regulations to ensure loans are properly documented, and we work to make that process as easy as possible. If you would like to review these with our team, then please reach out to one of our Client Advocates to discuss.

I used Veterans United twice. It was a positive experience.

I would absolutely use Veterans United again if I move and need to buy another home elsewhere. They handle most of the home buying process electronically, and can even assist with linking you to a real estate professional.
