For our first purchase we used USAA and it was a conventional loan. They were fantastic and we had a good experience and planned on using them for the VA loan for our next house. VU snuck in on the bidding war and delivered above an beyond on rates. I feared the experience would not be as smooth as USAA but was willing to take that based on the rates and accommadations they gave. I was pleasantly surprised when their customer service, knowldege and personal touch riveled and even exceeded in some cases our experience with USAA.
