Long process , but make sure you have all the paper work like current W-2's , check stub and bank statements ready and be ready to explain any employment gaps ( dates and why ) this is VERY important . Be VERY patient with your realtor team they have all the answers to the question you have and they are the pipeline to all their resources . I specially Thank Eric J. with the beginning (The Seed )of my journey , he started it all with the per-approval to the closing , he was the root of it all , special thanks to Nicole J. , she helped me find my home , she knew my needs in a home and budget , she came though even with my work schedule she was there for me -0- complaint from her . Her knowledge of the process and made it easy from the utilities transfer , insurance , home security , cable , etc. she is the trunk of my support team , the connection to all my resources and Mac the branches to my information , yes a lot of (oh just one more thing ) but just like the military verifying all your information over and over again it's always 1 more thing , he made sure I had my T's crossed and my i's dotted , checking and rechecking all the documents getting them ready for closing . Everyone in my team responded Professionally and eagerly throughout the process , at the end of it all I was not just happy , I am Great full to have a team like them . TOO Many to THANK so if i missed your name I'M VERY SORRY but you are all in my heart . GOD BLESS YOU ALL . ONE MORE TIME THANK YOU ALL .
They made the process very easy and transparent
Overall this was a great home buying experience. The Team made it easy for us and worked with us during our busy life and work schedule.
The team we had was simply amazing!
The people I worked with were amazing. Great attitudes, fast response times, and great to work with. These folks helped my family and I get our dream home. Thank you so much for all you all did.
If you are Veteran looking to buy a home or refinance one, Veterans United is the perfect option. We started using VU as a first time buyer, where our loan specialist walked us through the entire process of the VA benefits available to us, and we just ended our 3rd time working with them for a refinance. They make the experience/s easy and pleasant via their wonderfully kind, professional, diligent and knowledgeable staff. Their interest rates are always competitive, and there is never any surprises. Wouldn't use anyone else!
Being across the country buying a house does not make the process easy especially when you are in school as well. The lack of communication was ridiculous and the amount of phone calls that I had to make to have something explained was terrible. You should be calling the buyer to make sure they understand the process thoroughly and that they understand the paperwork that you are sending them. The closing costs fluctuated anywhere from 500 to 1700 and I am still unsure as to why. When I called to have paperwork explained I could hardly get ahold of the team and the same was said for others trying to get ahold of them. When I finally got ahold of someone they said “call us if you have any questions”. I am not a fan of this and think that YOU need to call the customer 1: to let them know you are sending paperwork and 2: to let them know what exactly they are signing and break it down for them. I have still yet to receive a phone call from the “Team” to make sure that the closing went well. I do not recommend this company and will not be back for my next home purchase. We were very excited but ended the process being extremely stressed out.
Response from Veterans United
Allen, we appreciate your feedback on this matter. A member of our Client Advocate team has attempted to reach you and we invite you to connect with us further. Our team will be researching your comments to determine what our team may do in the future to help prevent a similar misunderstanding. The process for disclosing the costs of a loan is managed very closely. We understand how relying on estimates for a portion of the home buying process can seem inconsistent or make it difficult to trust the process.
Very greatful and blessed to have such a great loan/ mortgage for first time buyers
Give these guys a call. You will not regret it. For my first time buying, we went through a unique situation that landed us in a bad spot due to no fault of Vet United. Dave walked us through and kept in touch with us every step of the way. If I had ANY questions, Dave and his team were there to answer. Thank you guys so much.
I appreciate the hard work and efforts from the entire team.
