You will not be disappointed. We shopped the local vendors as I think that is important, but in the end, I needed somebody who understood what a veteran needs really are. I also got a crazy good rate.

The experience was wonderful for buying my first home. They guided me through credit repair to closing documents. They were very knowledgeable, helpful, and kind through the entire process. The important notes first: I would use VU again in the future, and they beat another lender's offered interest rate by 0.35%. The closing costs were higher for some reason, but with the lower interest quickly recouped in 3 years. I don't recall having to provide so many documents during my first home purchase over 10 years ago with a different lender, but it was easy to upload everything online. The actual closing appointment was very fast, around 10 minutes. I was told COVID sped a lot of the process up as they could switch to more virtual signing, and I hope VU continues this process. Start to finish, I was able to close within several weeks.

Judge by the words that someone's from their mouth then put on paper, then you will have a beautiful experience as we have just completed in 6 weeks. That was fast to me. As long as you are willing to hang in on the pace they can set to ensure your buying experience is a success not that they were rushing they are producers. I recommend this company, however I am only able to recommend Andy Strubel and his team.

This has been a very challenging experience, theres been a lot of back and forth with the Seller, Lender and myself which made my experience very uncomfortable. The biggest blame was the COVID virus. Because of the COVID virus it delayed the finishing of the home and the closing of the home for over 3 months. I understand that there are certain circumstances that are beyond our control, i feel that the locking rate that was given originally should of remained the same during this crisis and not increase creating a financial hardship on me of several thousands of dollars that i was NOT expecting to add to the closing cost. The appraisal company that was hired by Veterans United did not provide a re-inspection prior to the closing, the re-inspection was conducted the same day, not acceptable, which delayed the closing and the wire transfer by a few hrs. The staff at VU were very helpful.
