This is about as simple as this part of the process can get.
I was kept out of the loop. I always had to try to get in touch with people to find out what was going on and why things were taking so long. Rarely was I ever contacted concerning the status of the loan and home buying process. There were plenty of misunderstandings due to nobody keeping me appraised of what was going on.
