Without a doubt Veterans United was the best choice for us. The attention to detail, the constant communication is something that I really appreciate from all the staff. I was never left in the dark regarding any process and they were always there to answer any questions no matter how small the concerns were they were always available to take care of us. Please understand the closing/title company procedures before you decide to use VU as your lender. They do not use a physical company, which delays the process and also adds many unprofessional aspects into the process. I met in a library to sign my documents with a notary public (no one from the bank was present) and I still do not have copies of the documents I signed nearly 2 weeks ago. The document signing was supposed to occur at my own home, which I did not allow for many reasons.
My fellow Veterans! Please, drop whomever you thought were assisting with your home purchase and join a great team and organization! I promise you will not be disappointed. For a number of reasons (no fault of my team's) my process was ongoing for 2 years. They were there every step of the way, motivating, informative and driven.
We want to also commend Ashley who helped us with our loan application. She was extremely knowledgeable and helped relieve any concerns we had with a completely online/remote refinance application system. The whole VU mortgage team was professional and handled our application as if it was their sole primary effort. We would recommend them to our family and friends.
