Long process, but worth the effort.
Samantha and Cameron were the rock stars in this transaction. They were very communicative and helped ease our nerves in this first time home buying experience. Cameron made sure to give as much information as possible and was EXCELLENT with keeping in touch. When the torch got passed onto Samantha, she was AMAZING as well. Those two really helped us get through the process almost effortlessly. I want to make sure Cameron Maddox and Samantha Lennox were highly appreciated in the whole process. I would love to work with them again in the future if/when we purchase our next home.

Samantha Rustemeyer. However, very disappointed with the department that is responsible for making sure that my homeowners insurance and taxes are paid out of my escrow account like the were established when I initially purchased and closed my property in May 2019. In
Nov 2020, I was notified by the homeowners insurance policy company approximately two before they were getting ready to cancel my homeowners insurance; that Veterans United had Not paid my homeowners insurance since May 2020
(for 6 months). Veterans United failed to inform me that my escrow was short because of an error on their part (Veterans United) I had to pay my homeowners insurance policy up for an entire year directly out of my pocket to the homeowner insurance company. I was in the process of refinancing that same property when I was made aware of Veterans United’s error and negligence. I decided to continue with the refinancing because, several Veterans United employees that worked in the department that was responsible for the error and negligence assured me that it would NOT happen again. I just got off the phone with USAA the insurance company. They are the insurance company that I selected during the closing of the refinancing process for my homeowners insurance to be paid out of my escrow to be paid to. Please note that they are still waiting for the payment to be sent to them. I’ve have owned several homes and properties in the past and I have never experienced such negligence with any previous mortgage/lending companies. Hopefully I don’t experience that problem or any similar problem(s)of that nature from/with Veterans United for the duration of my loan.
