The experience started excellent. The reason we chose Veterans United is due to the reviews they received and we found a business article that rated them as a top customer service Home Loan company. Veterans United immediately reached out and provided links to their website where we had to upload various documents to begin the process. Towards the latter end of the process is where I wish things went a little smoother. Being first time home buyers we were unsure how the closing process should go, so it was difficult for us to gauge. However, based upon talking to other families, our experience was not too far out of the normal. Going into closing and finding out the day before closing that property taxes were missed in the closing estimates was a shock. That lead to an additional $4k that we were not expecting. Veterans United did everything they could to help us with the situation, including putting a rush on our closing package to ensure we closed on time. Veteran United employees came into work during the weekend and evening hours in order to ensure we closed on time. That was excellent customer service! Overall, I would recommend Veterans United to someone else. They did help us with money towards closing costs, which was a game changer. Overall, excellent service and I don’t think there will ever be an easy home buying process. So no major gig to Veterans United.

Veterans United made it easy and smooth through out the whole process. It was a good choice to go with them for our VA loan. The process for a VA loan can be long and annoying but with the staff they have it made me feel comfortable about the whole process.

I was very glad to be able to go thru them to get my home, for someone who never even thought about buying one, because I knew the process would be "special" I did not want to be bothered, but the way our lease kept going up year by year, that made the decision to buy very easy. I am glad we had a group of people to guide and help us, because of some past employers, I was ready to give up, but we and Veterans found away around them, to get the info that we needed. I am a 67 yr old female veteran that had a choice of banks to use for her Veterans Home Loan. The traditional bank wanted the same info as Veterans, except they wanted even more detail from me. It just seemed liked with the traditional bank I was just being forced to jumped through hoops. My Team was excellent. They answered my questions, explained things, they answered their phones. Boy what a change to have people that answered their phones 99% of the time and then the other 1%, my call was returned. I would recommend Veterans to any Veteran looking to obtain a mortgage.
