the va inspector didn't check house very well have faucets in bathroom that don't work appliances that don't work countertop broken .All this should have been don and checked in inspection .The last house i bought the inspector checked water temp heater /ac all appliances everything .

A separate inspection is the best way to identify things like broken appliances or countertop damage before closing.
