Initially communication was very good. Then about 3 weeks into the process, it significantly declined. We never felt like we never knew what was happening in the process and there were countless times we would call and ask questions and either never received a call back or never received an answer.

Listen. If you are serious about owning a home, Veterans United is definitely a preferred option, in my opinion. The steps it took to purchasing our home was frustrating to say the least. In my wife and I case, we were purchasing from our landlord, so a realtor wasn't necessary. However, gathering the necessary documents, coordinating with the different agencies like appraisals, home inspections, insurance, title company, and loads of paperwork, signatures, and questions are still very much a part of the process. Our team, Nick Holman, Courtney Gully, Francie Greene, and the rest of their supporting members were there from the first phone until the closing on our home. They fielded every question, listened to all of our frustration, guided us through the whole process step by step, and we're encouraging, patient, professional, and, most of all, very polite, friendly, and engaging whenever we were in contact with them. I mean they kept in touch by phone, text, and email. Even sent us mail. Who does that in this technology age? Seriously, they were the best team my wife and I could ask for in communicating with us and our landlord to make this dream a reality!! I want to emphasize that Garet was very responsive. However, the underwriting department and coordination left something to be desired. We were repeatedly asked for things we had already submitted and had to FIGHT for the house to have the correct city listed. The house DOES have a shared zip code, but being the people who live her, we KNOW the correct village/city. My wife has experience in business and mail beiing returned if the correct city is not listed. Yet we had to fight that.
