I really would like to say my experience working with Veterans United Home Loans was fabulous but it was not. The process was frustrating with lots of drama. Although, both Tyson Brockmeier and Andrew Nelson are very polite and professional gentlemen, but when it came to communication with both; they seemed to be very confused by the Home Lending and Closing Process. I was frequently put in the position to re-verify documents, receipts and processes repeatedly after I provided all information repeatedly. And I was instructed to do things for the Title Company that was contradictory to the Title Company's Protocol. I had to educate them on the title companies procedures and protocols. I also, was told that they were able to obtain my paid VA Appraisal where I had to facilitate that process twice (2) on their behalf. There were numerous financial mistakes on Closing Documents that I requested to be corrected prior to Closing Date when I did the Documents Review. I was assured the issues would be corrected prior to closing date and it wasn't. And at Closing Date, they provided final closing documents only after I had already went to the Title Company to complete closing. Like I said, both Tyson and Andrew were polite but they lacked the experience which created a lot of anxiety and frustration. I provided all necessary documentations that was requested immediately. And I made sure I was in compliance of all requests, documentations and verifications immediately; and even facilitated other companies and organizations that was related to this process to provide documents and verification quickly and yet there were still issues.

Had some hiccups but we made it to the end so everything worked itself out. Only thing I would recommend is maybe putting in for underwriting before the last possible day. Other than that everything went well.

Working with Veterans United was the best, they made every step of the process great. Tory Tuttle our Loan officer was great at explaining everything to my wife and I. Closing was so smooth because we went in to closing already knowing everything because the VU team already explained everything.

I could not, in good conscience, recommend VU to anyone. I felt as though, once I had locked-in and was past the point of return, VU did not live up to what was discussed/promised beforehand. There were also way too many mistakes along the way where I was having to double and triple check every piece of paperwork and send back for corrections. I was dealing with all parties involved in the closing process on simple things the lender usually handles. In the end, I felt that the customer service was not where it should be and I was dealing with a used car lot where it was quantity over quality. If it were just one thing or some type of one-off miscommunication, I could understand, but it was several missteps along the way. I also provided feedback along the way, not just waiting for this forum to unveil my disappointment. I am very dissatisfied after 26 years of service to make my largest purchase for my dream property using a benefit I was entitled to with a company that did not place the same value on it. Please contact me to discuss further. I do not believe there was intentional malice, but feedback has to be give to help improve and correct this behavior. I can be reached at (916) 933-2251 anytime. Thank you.

Great experience will my rep's Max Carratura and Karin Bursch. Despite me having an extremely difficult time with my realtor, Max and Karin were helpful beyond belief. Whenever I had concerns about the process they were right there to help out and make me feel comfortable and assist with any questions I had. I would recommend anyone to ask for them when they start out.

The loan team we had at Veterans United Home Loans was the absolute best. They were knowledgeable, experienced, and efficient. Additionally they cared about us as individuals. Never did we feel like just another loan. Business dealings are difficult enough and having Veterans United Home Loans and our loan team made all the difference!
