Everything was smooth until the underwriting process started. Then it became stressful being ask for documents last minute and still not getting the insurance I asked for but overall Nick did a great job. . .

Damien Shafer is outstanding. I pushed him hard to meet our moving timeline and he was always positive and professional. As a matter of fact, the more i pushed him the better he did!


There were too much info that was required multiple time.





Knowing that my credit was going to be a challenge I was ready to attempt every option available. Unfortunately at every turn the lack of communication was totally frustrating. I was required to fax duplicate paperwork several times because the team working on my loan application apparently did not talk to each other. Had the team communicated a number of issues that continued to come up would have been dismissed, along with the fact that had they not waited till the last minute to inform me that certain info was needed we would not have gone 3 weeks past the initial closing. Speaking of the closing there is another foul up made by your team. They were well aware that I was legally separated because all the paperwork was forwarded to them, although they informed the title company that I was a single man, which slowed the closing by another day and could have been even more disastrous.



Our loan officer was rarely in contact with us. The only reason we went ahead with the home loan with Veterans United was Samantha Boman. She was outstanding to work with. On multiple occasions, I felt she went above and beyond d the call of duty. She also made me feel very comfortable. The reason that I would not recommend VU to friends and family is that I felt that there was a lack of communication in the beginning stages of the loan process and as the loan proceeded there were things that should have been told to us many months previously. In general I just feel that the loan officer, while a great salesman, was not a great communicator.

I am very pleased with how the whole process went.
