Our friends recommended VU to us 3 years ago. We had started the process, but was then blindsided with a two year overseas duty. When we arrived back to the US and VU just picked up where we had left off. Our VU rep, and recommended real estate agent, had us in a home before our furniture bad even arrived from overseas. It should also be said that we got the home WITH NOTHING TO PAY AT CLOSING!!! We could not be happier!

I would work with Jake and veterans united again. They were all very helpful, they all worked quickly and communicated with me easily throughout the whole process.
All of the extra time and information that was needed to get this loan made me and my wife stressed and it caused a few fights along the way. I felt sick at times due to the stress. When we finally were able to close on the house i did not feel excitement only relief. Also there were times i felt we wouldn't get the house.

Easiest process ever, like learning to ride a bike.
Shop around and find a different loan company that is truly invested in veterans. This is my third mortgage and this is the worst experience I have had when buying a home. I only went with this company because they approved for the most amount. If I could've walked away and went with another company with out losing thousands of dollars I would have. You receive a cheesy gift home coming gift that says pizza on us. Well the pizza isn't on them because it is a pan and an oven mitt, you still have to buy own pizza. The gift sums up the whole experience with this company.
