I've heard some stories from other veterans who have said it is a pain to work with some VA home loan providers. Tim Killday went above and beyond with his tenacity in helping my wife and I purchase our first home. From calling us even when he was sick, to calling and emailing us when he was supposed to be on vacation, he truly exemplifies the meaning of the word amazing. The entire experience was incredibly easy, straight forward, and Time was always there to help, sometimes even after midnight. 10/10 would recommend to ANY veteran looking to go forward with a purchase of a home. Miriam Miranda was an amazing agent in the central Florida area who really fought for my wife and I, to get the best deal possible, while keeping our best interests at heart. She would spend all day and sometimes work into the morning to help us and ensure everything we did was on track and where we needed to be. If we do end up moving in the future, if Miriam is available, we will wait just to ensure we get her as an agent again, because the effort and results were beyond perfection. 10/10 would recommend to another buyer.
Good company to do business with. I highly recommend Veterens United.
I’ve heard all kinds of horror stories about buying a home and to start I was really nervous, but from the initial purchase and my refi 1 year later it was easier than buying a car. Simple just turn in what I needed to and sign a few items online and done. Thanks to Nick and his team for the great work. I appreciate everything they’ve done.
Veterans United was beyond patient with us and was very detailed oriented. They broke down steps for us each phase of the refinancing process.
Amazing company and very helpful. Thankful for Veterans United while shopping for a house.....made the process a lot easier!!

I've use these guys twice, once for the I initial home buying and then for the IRRRL . Their great!
I am grateful for the time the team at Veteran Untied took to make this an easy process I will always recommend them to anyone looking to buy a home. Thank you so very much.
Looking at this from a results-oriented perspective, we were able to close on our house with only minimal delay. Ultimately, that is the most important thing to keep in mind. But there was, in our view, an easily avoidable snafu that occurred in the last week before closing. The failure to submit documents to the underwriter prior to their expiration date threatened to dramatically alter the terms of our loan only 4 days ahead of our scheduled closing date. This problem was resolved, but it added a significant amount of stress in the days leading up to the closing. For a couple who is purchasing their first home, these types of issues are extremely frustrating especially when arrangements have been made for relocating.
Veterans United in South Tampa was excellent. They helped me throughout the entire process of a first time homebuyer and made it seem easy.
Joe is personable. Joe is knowledgeable. Joe is friendly. I remembered Joe from 2 years ago when we tried to refinance but couldn’t because of the market. Market changed and the first person I thought of to help us was Joe.

Sam Yoo is very knowledgeable and helpful. Takes care of you like your family.
Veterans United is very easy to work with and keep you informed of the progress from start to finish.
The service from transaction coordinators needs to improve. I would constantly have to call and ask my transaction coordinator for updates on my loan. The only times I would hear from them is when they required documents from me; which I provided in a timely manner; but I never received updates on what the status of my loan was, or updates on the appraisal process, which affected my closing dates to push back by 2 weeks. Every time I would contact the transaction coordinator i would never get a straight answer, it became rather frustrating for myself, as well as my realtor agent. Hopefully you improve the standards for people in this position to be more proactive and communicate with customers and their representatives.
What an amazing experience! Chris Thornton, Crystal Remmel, (Deb Roberts my realtor assigned by VU) and the whole Veterans United team helped me make my dreams come true. I simply only applied for a mortgage just to see what I could get approved for... Once they exceeded what I thought I would be allowed to have, I began my home search.. I could get anything that I wanted, as everything I wanted was well below my preapproval. The Veterans United team did an "above and beyond" job, and I honestly will be forever grateful!! Advice for future home owners: This is a stressful process. It can feel like it is taking forever. You will think that your loan team may be dragging their feet on your loan process. Just keep your head held high, give Veterans United what they want immediately, and maintain a good attitude and you will be in your dream home too, just like me... OH, DO NOT GOOGLE ANYTHING RELATED TO PROBLEMS YOU COULD HAVE DURING THE STAGES OF YOUR PROCESS. BAD MISTAKE THAT LED TO HIGH STRESS. LOLI am still trying to process how I am now in a completely off-grid home with 17 acres of land. It is soooooo beautiful, and I wouldn't want to go through this process with anyone other than the AMAZING team over at Veterans United. Thank you for the welcome packet. Thank you for the beautiful customized bamboo cutting board. And most of all - THANK YOU!!!
