I’m not one to write many reviews but for this company I have mixed feelings about the experience, the overall process was about what you’d expect with buying a home, having ups and downs. The user friendly system to upload documents and have them saved in a system is a great idea and helps the process flow smoother but the lack of communication between the loan officer and buyer was a negative for me, my loan officer changed halfway through the process which I wasn’t informed of until I got contact by the new one asking for documents which is fine but it would’ve been nice to at least have a heads up. There were many times things weren’t submitted to 3rd parties such as appraisers and title companies until a couple days after they were said they were being submitted and my agent and I would be informed from the those 3rd parties that the documents weren’t sent yet, and we would have to call the company number just to be able to to get a call back from the people involved and be given an update about what is going on. My loan coordinator seemed to be quick to answer and get things done and I do appreciate all her effort to help things move along smoothly but there were definitely times her and the loan officer seemed to not be on the same page which may not have been her fault at all. I have to be honest about being able to recommend because I have mixed feelings, I’m grateful to have been helped to buy my first home but at the same time I don’t want to blame an entire company for the experience of what could’ve been an individual, again the biggest thing was lack of communication of what is being done, thank you all for helping me buy my first home.

Before we settled on Veterans United, I obtained quotes from 3 other lenders. We choose Veterans United because they are the top-ranked lender for VA loans and their web portal was impressive. I was pleasantly surprised at how helpful the web site was in showing me the status of my loan, as well as how easy it was to upload any requested documents. I'm also thrilled with my agent, Jen McGarry, and how she worked so hard to get us the best deal. In fact the other lenders came back to me to try and get a shot at our business and couldn't even come close in rate. On my next loan my first call will be to Veterans United.
I would say to my veteran family trust the process allow the loan officers and the teams to do what they do best. Again I say have patients trust the process and you’ll be taken care of.
If anybody is thinking about using Veterans United Home Loans you should they help you from Step 1 to the end and they are really great they pull every string they can for you I am so glad I got in contact with them it worked wonders for me
