Buying a home is a very confusing and frustrating thing. Veterans United helped tremendously in streamlining and making this difficult process as quick an easy as possible. We appreciate all the time and energy by Veterans United staff on our behalf. They are a great team!!
The experience started excellent. The reason we chose Veterans United is due to the reviews they received and we found a business article that rated them as a top customer service Home Loan company. Veterans United immediately reached out and provided links to their website where we had to upload various documents to begin the process. Towards the latter end of the process is where I wish things went a little smoother. Being first time home buyers we were unsure how the closing process should go, so it was difficult for us to gauge. However, based upon talking to other families, our experience was not too far out of the normal. Going into closing and finding out the day before closing that property taxes were missed in the closing estimates was a shock. That lead to an additional $4k that we were not expecting. Veterans United did everything they could to help us with the situation, including putting a rush on our closing package to ensure we closed on time. Veteran United employees came into work during the weekend and evening hours in order to ensure we closed on time. That was excellent customer service! Overall, I would recommend Veterans United to someone else. They did help us with money towards closing costs, which was a game changer. Overall, excellent service and I don’t think there will ever be an easy home buying process. So no major gig to Veterans United.
