My experience with VU was good. The only problem was that it took 3 weeks after our initial closing date to close. That was because my loan officer thought that a death certificate would work in a case where I was buying a for sale by owner home and a 50% owner passed away and her daughter owned 50%. Well the death certificate didn't work so a succession had to be done and I had to upload or fax the same documents to my to do list because they were not getting them a couple of times but other than that, my loan team was great.
April 2019, we closed on our house last Friday thanks to Katie and Cameron. You couldn't ask for any better people to take care of you.
Quite knowledgeable and well versed in all aspects. The loan specialists handled my loan process with friendly and timely actions, and most certainly treated me as a disabled veteran with the utmost respect. Thank you, Joel and Katie!
Don't go anywhere else. At veterans united they don’t promise you the moon if they cant deliver! They treat you like family they share all the same feelings you will feel through the process they understand. Its bitter sweet its like a family i will miss now that we closed we worked so hard as a team and the outcome was wonderful so was the journey couldn’t of asked for a better experience thank you all!

Great group of people. Had one company offer me a 5.9 apr, these guys were 1.2 points lower. Shop around but I don’t think there is much out there that can beat VU.
