Veteran United(VU) is a trusted lender. As with any lender, the loan process is tedious and full of obstacles, but VU smooths out those bumps. Each member of their team and referrals are well informed and communicate with one another so that even when one rep is busy, the other can respond. Communication is key to trust and I trust this team.
Like I said above these guys know their stuff. If ever purchase again these are the go to guys. I appreciate their time, knowledge, and skill they showed to me in the purchase of my home. Again cheers to these guys!
The Loan Specialist was able to guide us through the process of the loan application. Questions were answered promptly and our experience was a positive one. I would recommend this to other Veteran home-buyers in a heart beat.
The team worked hard for us
Underwriting told me, Sunara Bushell, that all that was needed was proof that i was eligible to extend my student loans an additional year. We provided this. Underwriting then referred us to equifax Mortgage to confirm this which they did, however Equifax initially gave them faulty information and told them an inaccurate amount of monthly payment based on standard payment that would be made once student loans began repayment. I filed a claim against equifax because I have always been on an income based repayment plan not standard and the amount they gave was inaccurate. Equifax then corrected this error, and based on my income told Veterans loan that I would not have a payment even if I were to get off forbearance. Despite underwriting knowing that I qualify for additional forbearance and that I would not have a minimum due, they still refused to put me on the loan. We gave them everything they asked for, and if they knew no matter what was given to them in regards to my student loans, they would not accept me on the loan, they should have told us that from the beginning. Instead, I paid off one of my credit cards early per their request, and ultimately this was unnecessary.
