I could not have been more pleased with Veterans United Home Loans. The entire staff that I communicated with were always positive and patient. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They are a great group.
CONTINUE from above: good at his job. It was like he made a check list at the time he figured out he needed it then after that was done a month later there was another check list that he started over that should have been with the other one before. Very! Very unprofessional when it came to talking to the client. Relaying messages through the realtor instead of dealing with us directly, we are the one he was working for not the realtor.
We had begun working with Geia Roberts, who was referred to us as the realtor of choice for Veterans United. However, she did not work out and it was good we stopped working with her. We would have lost the home if we had continued to work with her. She became nearly impossible to get in contact with in the middle of writing offers and counteroffers and had pretty much told us that she would have very limited availability for the next week during the negotiation process. Even when she was available to write offers, she never went through the offer with us to tell us what it meant. Her work was not satisfactory and the referred realtor should be reconsidered.
It was a very positive experience.
Sarah Woodard was extremely helpful during the entire process. I would like to Express my gratitude for her professionalism and expertise.
Travis was friendly & professional and the whole process went smoothly and fairly painless as much as buying a home can be with having to read & sign tons of paperwork, co-ordinate with everyone.
There was only one hiccup and it wasn't due to Travis or Veterans United and it caused a few lost days. The seller had missed some communication and while I don't know what regulations VU is held to, I mailed everyone involved to get a status check and keep everyone on the same page and put the spot light where it needed to be to see where the hold up was. Once I did that, the issue was resolved within 24 hours.
Travis properly set the expectations of what should happen, what could happen and how things should hopefully go while acknowledging what could slow things down, etc. He kept the flow of communications open and whenever I left a message, he was timely in getting back to us.
Give him a raise :)
How did VU do as a whole? I've already recommended you all for people who are looking to buy houses. As to when they will act on it is up to them.
The local lender said they would be able to help. Well they didn't! We were very fortunate when we found Matt & Veterans United. Matt was given a very, very short notice in order to prepare loan documents. He went above and beyond to help us in a time of need. We closed on our loan and would like to sincerely thank Veterans United, especially Matt, for his SERVICE. He definitely followed ALL of the core values that Veterans United believes and beyond.
Thank you Matt!!
Kristen always kept us informed. She did a tremendous job keeping everything in order.
I would definitely recommend adding Kristi Moody to your list of realtors in the Sioux Falls, SD area. She was outstanding and really cared about what I thought and wanted.
