Veterans United werevery helpful through out my home buying process! I was beyond pleased with the services they provided.
Made things so easy.
I don't even know where to begin.
VU was my first experience with an online mortgage company. At first, in May of 2016, the process was laborious. Despite claiming to be a online provider, VU still had to send hard copy documents to your home for signature. Which begged the question, Why would I go with an online provider? My experience with this online service was miserable at best. I worked with VU for over a year! But what was most frustrating was the with holding of information. After all, why should I as a customer send an email to my loan officer with the subject line titled, "Is Everything Ok?". Following weeks of silence, I was finally told that there were issues and I would have to wait.I did attempt to go with another mortgage company. However, the sellers ensured that would not happen. Citing they needed a "Pre Approval Letter" or they would call the claim to the house. Quite frankly, this act was the saving grace for VU.Bottom line, the only shining light for my VU experience was Misty Spain. She had bothered to take the time to explain to me what was going on with the contract. Matter of fact, in May of 2017, I was forced again to ask if the loan status was going ok. I never rec'd a reply back form Ross to this date. Quite frankly, I never heard again from Ross Pierson following our conversation June of 2017.The house closed on July 31, 2017.
The only problem I had with Veterans United is that the underwriters waited to the last minute to say they needed additional documents delaying the closing time.
Durrell and the whole team was fantastic. They made the home buying experience exciting and comfortable. They were available when we needed them and reapondly very quickly! The were friendly and handled is with great care! They created the perfect customer experience!!! Thank you so much!
As painless as buying a home could be. The usual amount of government mandated paperwork but being able to upload documents online saved quite a lot of time.
Was a little upset when the house was appraised and we had to get the seller to agree with lower price. We originally asked to borrow more money to help with closing costs. We were not informed that the closing money was not available when it can time to close and we we're stuck with exhausting every dime we had to take to closing.
Definitely a customer for life!
Very efficient & helpful, even with the hard situations!

Veterans United was very thorough, giving step by step procedures in the loan process. Being an individual who likes to understand documents that I sign, it was a pleasure and relief that I had a portal to access all documents and read through them.
Mike was great to work with
