I previously avoided applying for a VA loan due to the multiple miles of red tape and loop holes in place. After speaking from a few other veterans in the last year and hearing their VA loans went through without many hassles, I reluctantly decided to give it a try. After working nearly three months to get our loan to closing, I have deduced that the VA loan system has not changed much from what I remember and that my colleagues that informed me got off lucky. Our loan officer Kat was very nice, cordial, polite and willing to help, but I believe this process involves too many individuals. We felt we had to re-supply the same info over and over, just to another individual in the chain. The whole process needs to simplified and better communication amongst the lending staff. We are happy to have this wrapped up as we nearly pulled the plug to pursue conventional lending.

I will recommend Veterans United to anyone who will listen. I didn't feel like just another client. The entire team from pre-approval to closing answered every single question I had. They walked me through the whole process with care and compassion. I had a couple obstacles in leaving due to personal issues but the team guided me and worked hard with me to allow me to move. I am now in a beautiful home with my children. We couldn't be here right now if it weren't for all the amazing people at Veterans United.

The whole team made the whole process easy and not hard to follow, they gave me an outstanding realtor who took the time to make sure I was happy, the whole loan team made sure to break down and elaborate all the details of everything to me, no matter how many questions I asked there was always an informed answer. 10/10 would recommend to any veteran purchasing a house.

The only negative I can think of was the underwriting process. Whoever the guy was needed way too much info in my opinion.
