Dawn Plank and Demetri were outstanding in every way. I never had to wait on them and they were always pleasant and willing to go the extra mile. It was a great experience as a first time buyer and a disabled veteran. You are lucky to have them on your team.

We can't say enough good to describe our experience with Veterans United. They were awesome, David Kling our loan specialist was beyond excellent he went way above and beyond, keeping us informed, providing guidance and always there for our questions. We were thrilled with his expertise and sincerity! We will recommend him and Veterans United to everyone we know!
Promote her today! She is the diffination of a leader, her attention to detail is incredible, and she is the perfect role model for upcoming agents.
Mr. Watkins is a true professional. Understanding the Veterans needs and anticipating and addressing the concerns of the home buyer are hallmarks of what Mr. Watkins does best. He is a proud member of the Veterans United team and we were very pleased to do business with him. We look forward to working with Mr. Watkins again in the very near future.
Grant went above and beyond to get things done with our loan. We appreciate his dedication and professionalism. We hope his colleagues with Veterans United notice, so he can hold the Loan Officers on his team to the same high standards he held himself to while handling our loan processing and evaluation.
Our closing was scheduled on April 8 for 6 weeks, and then moved to April 7 about a week prior. On April 3 we were told at 7:45am that we had until 9am to provide 3 additional documents or our application would be "moved to the bottom of the stack" and would likely delay our closing. This felt very much like a threat. When I asked why this was so last minute, Katy said "The underwriters thought they had it." We can only assume that means she forgot to request it earlier. This same thing happened several times throughout the process re: requests for more info or making us resend info (e.g. The 4506-T was blank in the section that indicated where our tax returns were to be sent, which is the purpose of that form. We were not comfortable signing it blank and were essentially told that was too bad). Katy gave no explanation other than statements like "it had extra markings on it" meaning places where I had filled in missing required information. Katy made it sound like we had drawn on it.
Our closing was delayed anyway because the final docs were sent to Stewart Title late in the day on the 6th. Katy told us via email on the 4th to have a cashier's check ready for closing. We did not hear from her at all on the 6th despite several emails from us and our realtor asking for updates. She gave us the amount on the 7th, 2 hours before closing was scheduled. The title company specifically instructed her to tell us that they required a wire transfer, which is becoming standard and which required us to go back to the bank and provide a contact to Stewart who could verify our check. Had this not been an option, we would not have been able to close.
We were painfully aware that we were at the mercy of the Veteran's United team and had better do what we were told immediately or risk losing our house. We regret not shopping around for a better option and will discourage everyone from using this branch of this company.
Amy Gloyd--the most wonderful Real estate agent and I am so lucky to have met her! She has so much patience and compassion for people. I never felt like I was 'just a number', I felt like I was someone she cared about. Great person.
The underwriting portion of the process was very redundant. I submitted and resubmitted the same documents over and over and over again. I was a bit surprised in some items requested as if the underwriter wasn't sure about deeds inherited as an heir and needing to prove that even with what the city county clerk had recorded and on file through my attorney who was appalled of the lack of knowledge. There has to be a better way of receiving, storing and archiving documents that clients send in so that more than one associate is able to retrieve the info. I have always taken pride in maintaining a good credit score and taking care of business but even knowing that this process was very stressful and frustrating particularly as the close was approaching. It seems like I didn't get inquiries and things to submit until near the end of the week which then would spill over until the next week prolonging the process. I was totally taken aback when going in to the week of the closing a key associate in the office was out and I was unable to close on the date , Friday, 4/27 thus moving the date to Monday, 4/30. I almost felt like I was being given the run around and the office stalling. The delay was huge as it affected not only me but two other families waiting for my close. Other than this and this was huge, the benefits in using Veterans United and the VA Loan saved me tremendously. For this I would indeed recommend the program to other vets with a warning to have patience. If that is a shortcoming, they may want yo reconsider.
All that I have to say is thank you. You are an amazing team that goes above and beyond to better serve those of us who need it.
We worked with Cole Simmons and Candy McGowen and I couldn't have asked for a better team. Glad you guys are here to help our military families out on one of the most important purchases they will ever make. Keep up the awesome work!!!
We had the pleasure of working with Dustin Fritz and Jackie O'Brien during our home buying process and because of these individuals, we would recommend Veterans United to all of our military friends.
Thank you again
