I was so excited to get my green check marks every time :) He told me on 11/30/2024 that I would close on 01/15/2025 and I did just like that! He took a very scary process for me and turned it into one of the best experiences. This has been an exciting adventure that started more than 7 years ago. My wife and I started looking on the web for homes and neighborhoods that we might like to live in after we retired. My loan team provided excellent service, and I greatly appreciated their attention to detail throughout the process. However, the experience with the reconsideration of value following a low appraisal was disappointing. The process took longer than anticipated, and despite providing thoroughly vetted information and research from real estate professionals, the outcome lacked a clear explanation. This was particularly frustrating given the appraiser's apparent lack of thoroughness, including not walking the property or utilizing appropriate comparable sales in the area.

This was the first time I had the opportunity to buy a house, my friend recommended Veterans United to me and I contacted them in March of 2024. It may seem like it is a long time between contact and closing, however it is not. My wife and I had a few credit issues to take care of and were given a time frame of even qualifying for a house until February 2025. In October I reached out to Veterans United Senior Credit Consultant Michelle Mueller, to let her know where we were on our home buying journey. She let me know that we were almost there in mid-October and ran another check for us on November 1, 2024; to our surprise we were approved to start home shopping. We found a house rather quickly and had everything moving towards close in very short order. In NY it is not uncommon for a closing to take 90 days or more due to all the professionals that must be involved. We closed on January 17, 2025, and moved in the next day. It was not only Veterans United, but our Lord Jesus that opened doors we could not open, and closed doors that needed closed.
My hold team reall did a great job. Really loved how the team would answer my question and help me with anything I need.
