House buying has changed from years ago to the present. The buyer is so much more responsible for acquiring the various parts that go into what is needed. Veterans United supplied guidance, listing steps to accomplish what is needed and alerting me when it's accomplished, working hand-in-hand with my realtor for a satisfactory finish. Yes, I would recommend them to friends and family.

Veteran's United is great. I had started with a different lender, but they were not able/willing to do the VA part of the loan. When I turned to Veteran's I thought I needed a miracle, but all I needed was a good lender. And I found a great lender! Thank you to everyone that was part of the process.

My negative review was mainly do to the rate change they keep sending estimate of the loan closing documents. Me unaware, once the rate went up a whole percentage point they decided to lock the rate costing me 1% on this mortgage which was a big deal. Also lest than a hour before closing he emails changes to the closing amounts. what if i had never read that email before going to close. I was just just not happy with how this was handled. But, i have the Home and I'm moving on

I’m really sorry to hear about the frustration you experienced with your rate lock and the last-minute changes before closing. I can only imagine how upsetting it must have been to see your rate increase by a full percentage point and to feel caught off guard so close to the finish line. That’s not the kind of experience we want anyone to have when buying a home.

It sounds like there were some breakdowns in communication on our end that made an already complex process even more stressful, and I truly apologize for that. Buying a home is a big deal, and your concerns about the rate change and last-minute closing adjustments are completely valid.

Not a fan of your vendors constantly calling emailing and showing up at our new home and claiming to be sent by the concierge. The constant hounding was a real pain in the process of trying to get settled. More of a hindrance than helping. Especially ADT vendor.

VU made a lot of mistakes, many of which cost me money, some times money that I could never get back. I would not recommend VU to any other veterans, more over I would tell anyone looking for a home loan to specifically not use VU. Bad customer service and bad pricing.
