To Philip, Jared and Vickie, and anyone else within the Veterans United footprint that supported this journey for me, I am so grateful. My son and I will have a "getaway" that is not too far away where he can swim and enjoy Lake Erie, and others can enjoy the space too. God bless you all! And fortunately or unfortunately, hahaa, this will not be the last time I am your customer!

Everyone was very helpful and handled the transaction very professionally, would highly recommend Veterans United to other buyers.

Only Issue I had was throughout the entire process I was told my Earnest Money was to show the seller I was serious, and I would get it back at closing.

Everything with Veterans United went as smooth and painless as possible. They were the ship guiding us across choppy waters, and we landed safely in the house we wanted. Their customer portal is also user friendly and easy to navigate. Overall, I'm happy with every step of their process.

The home buying process at Veterans United is very impressive and a powerful service to our veteran community. Highly recommended!

This was my second time using Veterans United, and overall, I had mixed feelings about the experience. While my loan officer was very communicative and informative throughout much of the process, there were a few important areas that left me frustrated.Unlike my first time with Veterans United, I was not involved in the process of locking in my interest rate. I was blindsided when I was simply told that a rate had already been locked without any discussion or input from me. When I asked questions about it, I felt like a burden rather than a valued client. It left me feeling uneasy and a bit mistrustful of the process.Additionally, there was confusion regarding my military service verification. Despite having all necessary documentation the first time I worked with Veterans United, this time I was suddenly asked for additional documents without a clear explanation — I was simply told "things change." This caused unnecessary stress that I feel could have been avoided with better communication.I appreciate my loan officers responsiveness and helpfulness overall, but I wish the experience had been more transparent and consistent, especially given my past positive experience with the company. I most likely will be using a different loan company next time.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Brianna,
Thanks so much for coming back to work with Veterans United a second time, and for sharing such detailed feedback. I’m really sorry to hear this experience didn’t live up to the one you had the first time around. That’s not the feeling we ever want our returning clients — or any of our Veterans — to walk away with.
I completely understand how unsettling it must have been to have your rate locked without your input and to feel out of the loop on something so important. On top of that, having unexpected documentation requests pop up without clear explanations just adds more stress to an already emotional process, and I'm truly sorry for the confusion and frustration it caused.
I'm glad to hear your loan officer was responsive and helpful overall, but sounds like we missed the mark in a few critical areas that mattered to you. If you’d be willing, I’d love for our Client Advocate team to connect with you to hear a little more and to make sure your concerns are shared with our leadership team. You can reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re in the office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST Monday through Friday, but feel free to reach out anytime and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
Veterans United was amazing from start to finish! Highly recommended.

Veterans United Home Loans is the best for home loans for veterans! They helped us with everything from start to finish! I highly recommend them to any veterans looking to purchase a home. Thank you Tyler and your team for everything! We are surely be talking about you and your team for anyone needing to purchase a home ago a thank you for everything!!

My Veterans United team made this whole experience of buying my first home much easier than I had planned. All my questions were met with clear concise answers, and I think the process went super quick and smooth! I would recommend Veterans United to anyone looking to purchase a home who qualifies. Especially my team that I had. A big shout out to Brian Nelson, Jim Lowry, and Candace Dutcher!

Working with veterans United made everything about buying a new home so easy. They shopped for home insurance for me, my team was always easy to get a hold of, and the app made uploading documents so easy. On top of that, my team was always so pleasant and helpful.

My team was absolutely amazing. For my first time buying a home all by myself they provided me with everything and answered all my questions. They all really helped ease my stress in this whole process. I was unsure that I could do this and they helped me stay positive and made me believe I could. They went above and beyond when I was thrown in unforeseen circumstances to help through everything. I couldn’t have done this without my team at VU. I and so extremely grateful to all of them! Thank you so much!

Alittle unorganized towards the closing documents part. We weren’t on the same page I almost had to pay out for closing because of communication and mixed up numbers. I didn’t feel like a priority

Experience first-hand why 332,033 homeowners give us a perfect score!
The home buying process was over s year long for me. Many people became frustrated, but not Brian! I also sold a home at the same time and dealt with another lender. I noticed the other lender often reacting when my lender was much more streamlined, thoughtful, professional, competent, and timely. Having such a competent team took one thing, a big thing, that I didn't have to worry about and allowed me to focus on my family and our move!I would literally never work with anyone else.

Would recommend Veterans United in a heartbeat.

Mallory was impossible to get a hold of even during her advertised hours. She never answered her phone once after her initial reaching out. She never called me back when I left a message. Seller almost backed out of deal because she was insisting on a type of fire insurance policy that DOES NOT EXIST for mobiles. She took her sweet time writing an “exception” so we could use the CA fair plan insurance. She was not prudent with details of the sale and allowed the homes well water inspection to expire resulting in the need for a 2nd well test at sellers expense. This further delayed close 20 something days.
Mallory has a very experienced background and appears to be highly intelligent. I can’t understand why she allowed my home purchase to go the way it did.

This process started out is only a dream. I made a simple phone call from a Google search and ended up with Veterans United, Alberto and his team. What a God send. It is amazing and I am astounded at how smooth they really make the process. Along every single step they knew exactly what they were doing. The smallest of details were taken care of by their team. Veterans have enough to deal with with many returning from war, deployment, and time away from their families. It’s comforting to know that there’s a company out there that looks out for their well-being. Unfortunately, 10 is the highest grade you can grade someone on their scale, in our opinion, they deserve a much higher score. They took a dream and turned it into a reality, and for that we will be forever grateful. I could not recommend this team higher. Thank you Alberto, and your entire staff for not only making us feel like family, but taking our dream and turning it into a reality. God bless you.

Haley and Riggolette stayed in constant communication with me and were always available to answer all questions and calm fears concerning my home buying process. The entire team was amazing and I will definitely work with them again and recommend their services.

Deanna and Chris. And Jonathan were easy to reach and followed up with everything
