Great job on both Bill's and Terra Carlson work!
Allison was wonderful from start to finish. I am a single mom and this was a wonderful blessing for my kids and I. She explained everything so that I could understand it. The horror stories I hear from others about buying a house did not apply to me..thank y'all so much.
This is the 2nd time I have used VU... I just recommend my younger brother to Bill.
Very informative has a great sense of humor, very caring and understanding. It was a great experience!!

Colin Park and Terri Behrens were fantastic to work with throughout the process. We had a home build fall through and Colin made it clear he was with us and laid out the options and timeframe in which we could close without starting over.
their response to question is great
The team was very professional and definitely knew their jobs. Well done!!
90+ days from start to finish. Over 50 email conversations and dozens of phone conversations. Over 200 pages of documents scanned and attached. Some docs requested two or three times. Multiple assurances from the agent(s) that we were on the right track that were subsequently countermanded by the underwriter(s). Acceptance and then denial of cash assets that required us to redeem funding from retirement assets. Denial of income from sale of real estate. Five (6?) extensions necessary on our close-by date agreement with the sellers - very embarrassing. All in all, a lengthy, frustrating and laborious process. I question whether the average veteran has the skills/patience to complete a loan through VU.We met the "3 Cs" of mortgage underwriting - credit (800+ and 740+), capacity (monthly income over $7000), and collateral (3 properties owned and an appraisal of the new home greater than the loan amount) - early on but were forced to jump through hoop after hoop to show we were "worthy". Fie on Veterans United.
Knowledgeable, easy to work with and patient. We had computer issues and they didn't pressure us.
