There seemed to be some miscommunication between my real estate agent and VU loan officer, most of which I believe was the fault of my agent, Debby Gaultney. The closing had to be delayed because of incorrect information in the paperwork required for final underwriting. Additionally, my agent did not seem to be very knowledgable of the VA Loan process, or at least explaining it to me. I felt that I had to seek out much of the information myself. She was also not good at finding homes that met our stated needs and wants. Many homes she showed us were out of our price range and in need of renovations, which was something we could not afford. Lastly, she did not do a sufficent job of conveying our requirements to the seller as far as the condition the house needed to be in at the time of closing.
Working with Nicole was a great experience as well! For the most part she is the one that I worked with the most. Paperwork that I would send she replied within hours saying that's everything I needed or she needed more info on certain things. Made me feel like she was on top of things and tried to push me through this process the easiest and smoothest way possible. Very positive and motivating individual she is! Both Nicole and Jeremy are a great team to work with. Any chance I get I will definitely recommend them both!

On three separate occasions when we provided exactly what was requested to work past some complexities of the short sale with a tenant occupying the property, the requirement change and we had to redo steps we had already completed. We think this is because underwriting wanted different or additional information than the loan originator had communicated that we needed to provide. This resulted in both delays in the process and additional steps to provide input in a different way. We missed the seller's lender short sale closing deadline and had to arrange an extension. This was the only negative in an otherwise outstanding process.
