I had never heard about Veterans United. What a great experience working with the entire team (lending officer, Real Estate Agent, VU portal. Was especially helpful having everything in one spot to track To'-Dos and progress.
Recommended improvement area - towards the end, there seemed to be lack of coordinated efforts regarding status of closing. I'm not sure where the disconnect was. I didn't receive final closing $$ and instructions until late afternoon the day before the closing. Was in a real time crunch to get to the bank to obtain a Cashier's Check. Probably a simple disconnect. Other than that - it was a great expereince and will be recommending Veterans United to other Veterans! thank you.
There is a reason Veterans United processes the most VA loans. The whole experience was streamlined between the app and the way you are linked to the loan team. There were never issues tracking required documents and everyone was good about staying up on things. I believe the overall timeline to close was 3 weeks after our purchase offer was accepted, which seems pretty quick us. VU would be at the top of my list for another VA loan in the future.

Marty Oetting our credit consultant deserves ALL the credit for getting us into our house!!! He worked tirelessly at helping us get our credit scores up past where they needed to be to get approved for our home loan. If I had any questions he was always there to answer them and make sure I understood why we were doing what we were doing to get our scores up! We've tried several different services in the past that just wanted to take our money and did nothing to help us fix our credit, but Veteran United included this as part of their service and Marty worked like a dog to get us where we needed to be as quickly as possible but at the same time at the pace we were able to go. He wasn't overly pushy and he was truly wonderful to work with! I highly recommend him to anyone who needs to work on their credit before qualifying for a home loan!
