Raquel was amazing and easy work with. Extremely diligent about keeping us informed and making us feel like more than just another sale, would highly recommend her to anyone!
I am very glad we got in touch with Shawn. He made this process worthwhile.

Loved the communication.
I would return to UHL for future banking endeavors with my home. I have had nothing but excellent experiences with Jon Beahan. If he represents what UHL is all about, well you have my business. I will spread the word among my Veteran peers.
I did not appreciate Pamela Wright with Nations title lying to us making the process more complicated than needed.
I was frustrated and disappointed with the way the underwriters handled things. Information was forwarded and the underwriters kept asking the same question over several times. It was like they did not believe the information being submitted. One example was that I was suppose to put up some funds to meet all the payoffs that I wanted to cover. It was a $32,000 plus rent check from some property that my wife and I own. They questioned if this was a gift or a loan. I explicitly identified the check as a rent check in the initial submittal of proof. They came back with the same question a second time, which again I explained the income as a rent payment on property we owned. Finally, a third response was needed which aggravated me because I was not lying about the source of the income. Apparently, they got the message.
The time to close the loan was very long; approximately 4 months. The appraisal was very low and in my opinion was not generated using comparable homes in this area. I protested which did little good and only caused some of the delay. When I got homes of comparable sizes (2,800/2,900 SF) the appraised values were about 15% to 20% higher. The procedure is what the reviewer stated was the controlling factor, not necessarily size.
I completed college after military discharge (in 1959) and did not use the GI Bill for college. Ran my own business for 43-years. When I became eligible for Medicare I purchase my own supplemental policy rather than use the VA program (which I am really glad that I did) so I decided to try the VA loan process. Truthfully, I almost dropped the loan process in mid-January due to delays on the part of the underwriters.
I now have the loan and the process is behind me. Would I use this process again, NO! It was not Dan or any other staff person at Veterans United; it was the Underwriters.
He was t a great guy, found ous a home ,there ware many to choice from.
his help was great I would recommend him to my friends. Great job TOM
I had my doubts about using such a large home loan company, I even considered pursuing a second lender. But VU quelled those doubts quickly with fast service and even a personal touch. Don't get me wrong, Billy Abney was a great loan specialist to have on my side, but Sarah really made me and my wife feel that VU was there only for us and anything we needed. Sarah should be applauded for her hard work on our behalf. Our real estate agent should be commened too, she was there for us every step of the way, a truthful and personable professional. VU is a true company built for Veterans and provide the level of support that veterans deserve. Thank you.
Keep up the good work & treat all customers the great way I was treated.
Eric and his team are great. These guys make the whole process quick and easy.
Shannon was a huge help during the loan process. She seemed to have a personal interested in helping me get all the documentation needed to complete the loan. She stayed in contact and probably went outside of her job description to help get the right paperwork needed.
What else can I say veterans united is a great bunch of people
