The underwriting process was frustrating. Specifically duplicated efforts to answer the same questions or provide documents they could have asked for initially. They appeared either new at the position or unprepared for what they needed. These delays ultimately resulted in us needing to move deadlines. It was also sometimes difficult for our realtor to in get in contact with VA United.

Repeating the same steps and providing duplicate documents—especially when you’re doing everything you can to stay on top of it—can make the whole thing feel disorganized and overwhelming. You deserved a smoother experience, and I’m sorry we didn’t deliver on that.

My family and I started our journey with veterans united in 2017 when we bought our first home. The customer service was beyond amazing making the next home purchase a no brainer on who to trust.

I want to thank Brenda Kelly for the help she gave us. She was so responsive to all the questions I asked, and in many cases proactive in letting us know what was coming next. She was friendly and fast and took great care of us. Thank you so much Brenda! I also thought the portal was great. It was easy to upload documentation and let us know what we needed to do.

Between Brett and Shan the mortgage process was pretty much seamless. I've bought 6 homes over the years and this was the easiest mortgage process I've ever had.....

Pretty easy as far as home buying process can be compared to what I’ve heard from other lenders and other people thankful and grateful that it was done and easy

Communication was superb. If I got my paperwork submitted within 24 hours it was processed within 24 hours. If I had a question my phone call or email was returned on the same business day. I was not pushed to use VU's services if I found something else I preferred. Upon closing we received a care package from the team with personalized gifts that were very thoughtful with my children in mind.
