I'm not sure if it is possible, but the loan underwriting process needs to be streamlined some how. I came very close to canceling the entire loan application due to this very onerous part of the process. If it hadn't been for the diligent and hard work of both Rick Brigeman and Austin Soendker whom kept me constantly updated while giving 110% to the effort, I would have. They deserve my highest praise and if I could, a merit of supreme achievement award. Again, I don't know how, but my feeling is that from beginning to end, the whole loan application process could be streamlined for better efficiency and duplication of effort.
Better communication on progress and maybe a daily report on what's going on with the loan.

Speed the process up. When I signed the paperwork it took also an hour and a half to wait for everything to clear. Also, it seems like I had to re-submitt most of my info over and over. I did have a goo loan officer.
Have a standard guidline for the underwriters to follow. The underwriter for my loan didn't understand the fact that I didn't live on a private road. I live in a township. There are no private roads. The lawyer for our township had to get involved and tell them the same thing I had been saying. Then the underwriter had issues with the water district. Apparently the yearly water test is not sufficient enough for them. If we had one more issue with the underwriter I was going to cancel my refinance with VUHL. Craig Brumfield was a good loan officer and knew his job, but the underwriter is what I had issues with.
