My only thing was the unknown factor how long the process is. Was a little unsure why it was so slow moving but it was my first expereince buying a home.

We as veterans are stationed all over the globe. With my experience, purchasing a home while in Germany, the communication was broken at times due to time difference being outside your location branch. We had to rely on e-mail which most of the times, were not consistent. I would recommend looking into an international phone line for these reasons. I have served with a few people that have purchased houses while out of the states. I think this would be a plus for your company. My loan officer was very knowledgeable in his area of expertise, but there were times when I would speak with his assistant and I would be referred back to my loan officer due to adeptness of work. Lack of communication between the agents and the loanee/clients marks unawareness of the transaction updates on the loanee's part. My answer to question three would be yes and no. I would recommend VUHL only if residing in the states; on the other hand, I will not recommend this, if residing outside the states due to lack of good communication capabilities.
Telling families that there is going to be a lot of hoops to jump through, between paperwork and having the home meet certain requirements. There was a lot of paperwork that I had to fill out in even the last hours before closing. My loan officer worked hard and I had an extreme case but just making families aware that the VA has MUCH higher standards then most other loans.
