My loan officer, Dave Buchner, did an awesome job helping me. I was a little annoyed by the underwriters or whoever keeper asking me for explanations of little things. For example, I had to send a second bank statement showing more money in my account. My first statement only showed around $260 in my account because it was right before payday. I had to explain how I got the other $240 to pay my earnest cash that cleared a month after that statement. I would hate to think the va would finance me if I couldn't earn $240 in a month. There were several other small things that I thought were odd in needing letter of explanation, however this particular one stood out for me. Some of these delays were an inconvenience for my moving circumstances but overall I am satisfied. Thanks again to Dave, everything he did was great!
I am a military member and first time homebuyer and I was unaware of the inner workings of the loan process and found myself very frustrated at times. This would have been easier I was told what was needed up front; instead I was being told I have everything and then two minutes later told that additional information was needed. I felt like I was being pushed through the process in some points and was very uncomfortable on occassions.
Need to be a little less surprises on fees that they buyer has to put up out of pocket during the loan process. But over all and enjoyable experience.
I was informed by my loan officer that there wasn't a department available to issue formal complaints. I have since forwarded my concerns to the better business bureau.
