This was my first time buying a home and I've heard all of the horror stories. Working with veterans home united made everything simple. My experience with you all was great and I can't say enough about it. Two thumds up.
The process went smoothly overall and we were generally pleased. Email was the usual method of contact by our loan officer, which was problematic at a critical time during the final days before closing. If we had been contacted by phone, the problem would have been resolved quite easily. The problem caused us a lot of stress, but everything did work out, and we are quite pleased with our new home. We would recommend VUHL to anyone based on our overall experience.
Less time in underwriting
Communication was wonderful, emails and correspondence between buyer and VA were also great,, I really appreciated that. The only thing i would ask to change is that before the closing the Documentation stage that the system to track my loan, stopped without cause.
I have no complaints about this service.
I don't know how money is spent really. I was told that I would receive my "earnest money" of $500 back. I didn't receive it and another $400 was spent on another appraisal. So I don't have what I thought I would have.Still I appreciate the the way I was treated and I'm glad I went through it all. God bless, Michael H. Davis

Just keep doing what you're doing!
Keep up the good job! If its not broke, don't fix it. Superb team that I have already recommended to another Disabled Veteran. John Fisher and Erin Carter were incredible. Thank you for your help.Kindly, Kristen Livria
not a thing
Request appraisal and inspections earlier in the process to reduce the total time involved.
More questions about the property so needed inspections can be completed before approval and not hold the process up.
Try to make it a shorter process.
Explain what happens after the closing. How the payments will be made, who to contact, how to follow up and make sure the payments were made.

Inform clients of the papers that may be required way before time and a detailed list of what is expected when they first begain loan app. so not too much time is spent getting creditors lined up. But overall it was not such a bad experiance with lenders only our creditors.
There was alot of last minute corrections. Wish I had more notice for closing appointment. I almost missed work trying to get the papers signed on time at the last minute.
Mike did a fantastic job and was always clear on what was needed or going on at the moment. If all of your loan officers work as he does then VU is a great all around company to work with.
Put Flyers in Veterans Health Care Locations all through the United States. VA hospitals have Boards set up to advertise., also Rest Areas on highways through the USA.
No suggestions here, everyone I dealt with from beginning to end was professional, informative and things were handled in a timely manner, thanks to everyone involved.
I think VUHL is doing a very good jod in helping military families just keep up the good work.
