This is the third time I’ve worked with Veterans United to get a loan to buy a house. All three times have been amazing and seamless. This time around I considered and even talked with several banks and credit unions around the area - none of them could match the interest rate nor quality of service like Veterans United. The steps are clearly laid out and easy to understand. Uploading my documents was easy. Contacting my team was also easy and supportive. For me, Veterans United is the BEST! Just wanted to post this to say how grateful we were to have Jimmie Draper as our guy to help us through this process. He was always there to answer any questions we had even on days where he shouldn’t have been working. I’m pretty sure we had another person that we’d were suppose to work with after the initial process started but I honestly didn’t want to so I just kept going through Jimmie for everything lol as far as veterans United themselves, great company with great interest rates and wouldn’t have gone with anyone else. Rebecca Fowler made the experience absolutely amazing. She reached out to me at the very beginning and made sure I was comfortable from the start. She was respectful and seemed to truly honestly care about my well being. She was always available, prompt and I could feel her smile through the phone conversations and text. From beginning to end , never wavered. I will remember her as much as buying my property.
We are happy to finally be closed on our loan and to have a lower interest rate. However, the process was rough and very frustrating. Due to not being informed at the beginning of the process that we needed a certain document, it took way longer than it should have, If we had been told of the need for this form, we could have started working on locating it when everything got started and not two days before we were supposed to close the first time. Instead, it took months to locate this form and get it corrected to where we had to pay for inspections AGAIN! VU made it right in the end, but we let them know how angry we were.
Everything went smooth from start to finish. The speed and efficiency was outstanding. I will absolutely recommend VU if the opportunity arises.
