As a first time homeowner I’m not sure I knew what I expected but the team overall exceeded my expectations from the reapproval to underwriting to closing. The team was great and I’ll definitely continue to share my experience with others.

This is my second time using Veteran’s United. I came back because of the efficiency and timely communication. This second go around both of those elements were lacking…at least compared to our experience in 2022. It was not only difficult for us to get ahold of, get a timely response from, our VU team, but our real estate agent had the same difficulties with them. Overall, still a mostly positive experience, but definitely not as good as our first with VU.

I’d like to say thank-you to Jon Lucas and his team for being so helpful and professional in helping me purchase my new condo.


If I may make some recommendations that would have tremendously helped me as a first time buyer:1) have an entire check list of things I need to accomplish for the whole process. ALL of them, so I can plan ahead. Time drip them out so that I can upload what you need when you need it, but at least have them visible (grayed out) so that I can plan. There were many times I felt things were very suddenly asked of from me and I needed to scramble to get documents or information because I wasn't local to my home. If I could view my upcoming to-do's, not just the ones that were needed immediately, that would have been a game changer.

I had given up on ever owning a home, but Veteran's United helped us make owning a home a reality. From working with us to fix our credit, to helping us find the most amazing realtor, to the entire closing process, they were there every step of the way, offering support. Thank you for helping my family finally have a true home.



This is the second home I've bought with Veterans United and the experience has just gotten better with age! I recommend VU to all of my Veteran friends and family and will continue to do so.
