It had been many years since applying for a home loan but just wanted funds for a garage/shop, and I had been seeing the VU ads and figured I'd give them a try, I think the entire process took about a month and it seemed fairly seamless. At the end I liked that the notary would come to you or meet wherever.
I had the best experience throughout; this my second home (sold my first) and the difference is night and day. I absolutely recommend Veterans United, can't beat the rate either. The entire Veterans United team is so professional in what they do, I am so grateful I chose Veterans United to establish my goal of owning a permanent home to live in!
