Everyone at VU was terrific. You saved me a lot of money, even with my insurance!!The only issue I had with VU was the underwriting process. Some of the tasks could have been clearer and added extra stress. I suggest re-evaluating all the deeply personal information required, which seemed excessive.Additionally, wire transfers should be allowed from Fidelity. That process was challenging, and in the end, I had to personally go into my bank - not having stepped foot in it in almost 25 years to get a cashier's check. Having to do this only introduced human error into the mix of an already stressful process. With my exceptional credit rating, satisfying the underwriters made me feel I was untrustworthy and left me concerned that the process was rife with potential identity theft. If I knew I'd have to go through the underwriter's process again, I may rethink going with VU.
My wife and I have purchased many homes over the years - this transaction with Veterans United was by far the easiest and smoothest! Nobody enjoys the home loan process, but our VU team kept us informed and the process was laid out, so there were no surprises. Our entire team CJ, Rachel and LaSar were available quickly and promptly to answer any questions and offer guidance. Thank you to team!!

This truly was the worst experience I've ever had in obtaining a mortgage or any sort of loan. Alberto was about the most unprofessional loan officer that I have ever dealt with. Between numbers constantly changing, accusatory statements towards my company, constant requests for different documents that go back further than what should have been needed, dialogue with my girlfriend about my income that should have been a conversation with me first, then asking my third party accountant to send an e-mail confirming something I've already confirmed (which is illegal and unethical). I simply cannot express my disgust enough with this process. Luckily, James stepped in near the end after the many fumbles the MVU team made. The process was eventually complete after almost losing our new home due to a time factor caused by Alberto. But never again will I use MVU. I hope anyone who uses MVU has a better experience than what I had. Best of luck to everyone.

Overall, a great and easy experience. My only gripe was that we didnt know the final closing cost number until the day before closing, so we were stressing about the wire going through in time. But, it all worked out. Melissa and her team at VU were amazing. Jay and Breland were also super awesome.
We could not have asked for a better Loan Officer than Charles McKee. He made our home buying dream a reality. We could not have done it without him. He was with us from the initial preapproval process until we signed our closing papers. His service was impeccable and his work ethic was impressive. Just wanted to say thank you all for your hard work, and your positive attitude! I must admit when I first heard about the number of people who would be involved, I was overwhelmed!
