This was my first home purchase and from the moment I began the process of obtaining my mortgage Will was quick to respond and answered all my questions thoroughly. He made it very clear all the documentation I needed to provide and advised on all open issues to make sure that everything was ready to go at closing. The entire process was seamless.
I would highly recommend Veteran’s United and my loan officer Will to any of my fellow Veterans.
arron brooks has done an outstanding job. he was very clear with everything he has told us what to do...he is kind and very patient and polite...he deserves the best and thankyou arron.....shawn and robin mcdowell
Dave was an awesome loan officer. He was very patient and understanding with us even in the really stressful times.
Kayla and Shannon both were wonderful. We loved our realtor Amber. Thank you so much!!
I had a good experience working with Ryan. He kept me informed and answered all my questions.
Mr. Buchner was excellent to work with in getting our loan approved. His customer service was commendable... always professional! Also, Mr. Buchner gave service above and beyond standard to make sure I had frequent status updates along the way. We got the house we wanted and we got it closed within a time-frame I desired. Thank you!!!
Our loan advisor was amazing and fast. Ashleigh Sumner, called me in less than an hour after requesting information, helped walk us through each step, called us to make sure we were getting the emails and packets of information being sent. The title company and seller said she was extremely fast and accurate in her work. We are extremely satisfied with her level of commitment and her ability to get things done. Amanda Park, who was helping, was also extremely competent in her work and helpful. They both were friendly and interested and extremely accommodating to our unusual personal schedules. They were extremely polite and respectful of our wishes and privacy. VUHL had the best rates for veterans and is an amazing service for those of us who are looking to get a home. This is our first time buying a home, and Ms. Sumner and Ms. Park made the experience easy and as hassle free as they could. They explained everything from the large details to the smaller ones that are not immediately detailed to the buyer, such as closing fee amounts and so on. Since neither my husband and I knew what to expect we prepared for the worse and a long battle, but because of Veterans United Home Loan personnel it was much easier and friendlier than we feared. We would both recommend VUHL to any veteran who was looking into buying a home. The services were great, the paperwork was easy to read and detailed, the advisor was helpful and competent. On behalf of my husband and I, we would like to thank-you for all the help and hard work that helped us from hoping for a house to owning our first home. Thank-you for your time and effort. God bless.

The process was clearly outlined at the beginning and flowed smoothly. Very happy with how things moved along and I was impressed by Collin and others who were extremely responsive to questions. Home buying is a stressful thing and VU made it pretty easy. Thanks again to Collin, Lauren and the rest of the team at VU. Definitely deserve the highest rating possible. Thanks again!
All said, things went smooth and I am happy with my new home!!
I did feel the staff and loan officer were very professional and were helpful under some stressful situations and made every effort to keep me happy. I feel their hands were tied with certain requirements.
I didn't give a full 1o rating because one of the issues I had was the representatives not listening to the customer. One of my biggest concerns was not listening to what I wanted to accomplish or to consider options I had or may have wanted to exercise. Another frustration, it is told to the customer that it is "common" practice to just keep asking for documents already sent is just putting undo burden on the buyer. I have purchased several homes before without this treatment. The buyers are not the reason for the mortgage crises nor should the buyer be solely punished for it by this treatment. We are your business. For example: Requiring an actual bank statement when the bank prints them once a month at the end of the month. Providing a on-line print out is the only option. A customer cannot provide one for the month he or she is in. Asking for it over and over is abusive when it cannot be provided. My last feedback point may be for me specifically, we asked for an extension but was still going for the original closing date which we accomplished. No one told the seller or her agent and I lost two moving days, two working days, and loss of services to the house and difficulty getting to the property over a holiday weekend for this over site. ( I have the email communications for this between loan officer and my agent you guys referred me to.) To sum up my advice, please have agents LISTEN to the customer and if we send documents look them back up if you need them don't keep asking for them repeatedly and pay attention to detail. My job requires me to do this because people can be killed. I am sure this is not an impossible task for the loan officers, assistants or agents who seem to have difficulty communicating between themselves.
I don\'t regret, for one second, choosing Veteran\'s United for our home loan! I couldn\'t have asked for a better loan officer! Aaron was knew exactly what had to be done to get us where we needed to be. We felt like we were more than just a file number, he truly made us feel like part of the family, and for that we are grateful!
The communication from everyone through this entire process was outstanding! I was on a very tight schedule and thanks to the constant communication from my loan officer and realtor, I was able to close on time. Thank you for all your hard work; it really means a lot!
Awesome experience. Couldn't have asked for more professional and prompt service. Will recommend veterans united to all my service friends.
Jon Abernathy was amazing! He always had an answer for me whenever I had a question. He was quick and efficient with my whole loan process and very easy to work with. Jon was extremely friendly and yet very professional at the same time which is a fine line to walk, yet he walked it masterfully. I want to express my gratitude to Jon for making my first home buying experience a seamless and painless one!!
Christopher Rohr and Brandon Levy were both great throughout the home loan process. These two gentlemen worked diligently in assisting me and my wife with the loan process and were successful in completing the process in full on the date we requested. I want to personally thank both of theses gentlemen for all of there hard work and the rest of the team for a job well done. I would like to thank Veterans United for the service that provided me the opportunity to be a part of the home buying process, Me and my family can\'t thank you enough for your service to the armed forces veterans. This experience makes me honored to be a veteran. Thank You, Veterans United for the work that you do and for the men and women who serve you. Thank You Again. I highly recommend Veterans United to all of you that this message may apply too for your home buying experience. Thank You.
Ute was great to work with, she made the loan process very easy for us.
VU team was great. Chris was an outstanding professional, and I appreciated his work ethic and diligence. Back-office and underwriting was a little burdensome. Maybe that is how it is with VA loans, but there was an extraordinary (in my opinion) amount of follow-up and verification required. I have only done 8-10 mortgage loan processes, so my sample size is fairly small. I would say that this experience is in the 85th percentile, and that is largely because Chris was involved and handled a lot of the interference. I felt like Chris was an advocate (on my behalf) and willing to work hard to make things smooth. Some of the UW requests for info and verification seemed excessive, and while I recognize the risk position that you all are hedging I cannot believe we needed to go through the rigorous process that we did.
In my opinion, the VA appraiser was TERRIBLE. His delayed response (literally submitted in the final hour(s)) on the initial request was lazy, and a required “re-inspection fee†for two non-discrete observations seems shameful to the program and a real slap-in-the-face to me. Note – I am pissed about the appraisal process on this loan, and will follow-up with a letter to an appropriate VA representative when I find the time. When the appraiser is allowed to absorb more than three weeks of the purchase process for a home that he claims to be worth in-excess-of the purchase price, I must question the policy for who is used and the professional standards these appraisers are held to.
That all said, the VU team was great and I appreciate all the hard work.
Our loan officer, Andy Cox, done a wonderful job! I think he worked around the clock for us as we would get emails in the late evening regarding our loan process. Great job! We are very happy in our new home!
God Bless All Veterans!
Our loan specialist Matt Murphy was by far one of the most professional individuals we have ever worked with. I had no idea how hard he worked on our purchase until our realtor put it in perspective for us. Both myself and our realtor Gerry Dunn would like the contact info for Mr Murphy's supervisor so we can personally thank him and also convey how great it was to work with Matt.
True professionals. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Veterans United.
