Overall the experience was well. Joe did a phenomenal job, was always in contact with me, and reaching out to answer questions or concerns. As the process went through other portions of the loans, the community did drop from the original. As we got closer to the closing date things that I anticipated would have been done days prior were not done till a day before or the closing date. Being new to the VA loan process I am not sure if this is the normal process , but communication would be key reassuring the Veteran and bringing piece of mind.
Steve Schuh is a phenomenal Loan Officer who took his time to educate me on using the VA home loan. I am a first time home buyer, and Steve helped me tremendously throughout the entire process! All went without a hitch until we had a delay and stall with ordering an appraiser and then having one out in time. It made the closing 6 days late due to a holiday. The team was very supportive, helpful, in touch, especially Louie Nieman. But one team member seemed out of touch, off her game, didn't get back with us when we would need answers. We heard from her assistant and she tried hard...sometimes that isn't enough. Don't get this wrong. We are 99% thrilled, grateful, impressed. Veterans United is beyond AMAZING. Every detail is thought of, including pet treats sent to us; utility start up support; support in general, insurance, security. Veterans United is a one shop stop, fabulous!

My humble abode that I moved in to on August 4, 2020. I'm so thankful to Veterans United for approving me for an amazing low interest rate on my home and making the process so easy for me. I was only able to do a virtual viewing of this home because of COVID and I did it through my phone. I wasn't able to see the inside in person but I still went through with making an offer and eventually saw it in person before moving in. I literally saw and bought this home through my phone. I love it and thank God he gave me a cherry tree!
