While we appreciate the effort put into facilitating our home purchase, we encountered several issues that left us frustrated and disappointed.Firstly, we received a charge increase of $1,800 for the rate lock just one week before the scheduled closing. We feel this should have been mentioned sooner as we had been anticipating a lower price since we started the process in July.On that same note, we were initially informed that a 15% down payment would suffice, but a few weeks before closing, we were notified that this requirement had increased to 20%. We were told this was because one of the scores was below 710 and this was somehow missed during the initial credit pull. One of our most significant challenges was the last-minute discrepancy in the closing documents. We let VU know in August that one of our marital statuses was going to be changing because of his upcoming wedding. Despite this, the oversight delayed our appointment from 12:30 to 1:45. Again, this caused a lot of frustration and stress on all parties.Collectively, these issues have created a less than satisfactory experience for us. We value transparency and clear communication and believe we did not
Response from Veterans United
Hello Zachary, we appreciate your feedback. Our Client Advocate team is available to connect with you to learn more about your experience should you wish to share more information.
Best experience in buying a house I highly recommend veterans United and especially Aimee Hall!
Overall, I had a very good experience with Veterans United for procuring my home loan. They were competitive in rates, and my loan team was top notch! I will say that I wish my loan coordinator was a bit more responsive and personable, but my loan officer more than made up for it.
Veterans United was able to get my Family into Our Forever Home within 8 Days. Even with such a rigid deadline, their "Can Do Attitude" made a difficult moment as easy as possible especially during my Retirement Transition. Thankful to have been able to Use the Veterans United Team.
If you want a good ribeye then go to a buffet; if you want a great ribeye, go to a stake house. If you want a good lender then go to your local bank, but if you want a GREAT lender, go to Veterans United!
The Veterans United team can’t be beat.
This is my second home but my first time using Veterans United and it won’t be the last!
Brett and his team were very knowledgeable and always available to answer any questions we had. We are very grateful and excited to enjoy our new home thanks to everyone that was involved!
When we first met Travis Ward, he was just a loan officer. After a few months of interaction with Travis, he became our trusted friend. Travis is warm and articulates. He knows his product very well. He took his time to explain all of our questions within 24 hours. Besides those outstanding attributes, what stand out the most about Travis are he is very patient and his ability to listen to our questions/concerns, he waited for us to finish our questions completely before he responds. Travis never once (never) jumped in the middle of our sentences. We would definitely refer him to our friends and family members for VA home loan. It would be a mistake should Veterans United not to retain his service nor inadequately compensate base on his outstanding skills, personal and professionalism!! Warm Regards,Khoa, Susan and Nhat Huy (from San Diego, CA)

The entire process and end user interface was flawless and simple. Could not recommend more
Matt and Austin worked hard to get us into our house by December 1st because we had everything lined up to move that weekend and with our busy schedule didn't have much time outside of that. We really appreciate their work and couldn't be happier with our new home!
Gretchen Hopper was also extremely nice and friendly. My overall experience with VA United was fantastic.
Veteran’s United made my first home-buying experience so much easier. Everything was streamlined and centralized thanks to their digital documents and way of correspondence. Any and all questions I had were answered, and they never made me feel like I was asking a stupid one. Thanks again to Ryan and the rest of the team!
