Second time I used veterans United both times were very productive. The people who you have working there are very knowledgeable and helpful always available for assistance
I started this process last June. I applied through a different lender first but they didn’t pre-approve me for anything close to what VU did. When I put the other lenders quotes side by side with VU quotes, VU was around $200 less a month. When I first contacted VU, after about 5 minutes of talking and looking up my records they approved me on the spot over the phone. They had to build the house and then it was just a waiting game. With the interest rates in the mid 8’s, I was starting to get worried that I might get priced out of the home. I talked to Aaron a few times and expressed my concerns to him about the high interest rates and he told me not freak out that they would come down by closing time and they did. It’s my first time being a homeowner and I must say the process went smooth without any problems. It was an overall memorable experience and I just want to say Thank You.

The process with the underwriter was very back and forth which was very stressful and time consuming. Thankfully Matt made sure everything was taking care of but it was certainly a process that could have been smoother.

Eli Ahn and his team went above and beyond to provide an excellent and seamless new home buying (and refinance) experience. This was our first home purchase and Eli, Jacob, Jodi, and their entire team were with us every step of the way, ensuring we got the best rate and home deal. The VA agent they chose to help us close the deal, Walter Crawford, was likewise stellar. They made a potentially stressful experience (buying a home) virtually painless and they really listened to us. Especially Eli Ahn who answered countless calls and questions for us and kept things professional, positive, and upbeat at every turn. They were also very flexible with us over the holiday season (for both our first home buy and the following refinance). In fact, Eli kept an eye on the interest rates for us so we wouldn't miss anything, significantly lowering our rate during the refinance. This is so important in today's volatile housing market. One of the many things I love about this team is that they truly are a one-stop-shop for all home buying and refinance needs. From the financing to the VA-savvy real estate agent, to shopping for best insurance rates, to the closing and even the notary public (for our refinance) - they work together like a well oiled machine. It made me miss being in the Army where you can always depend on the team to cover your back and look out for you. This team is like that. I just don't think you can get this level of care and dedication from a civilian organization. Aside from helping us secure a better than expected rate both times, there were no surprises and we loved having that one button, Veterans United, to push for everything. I can't imagine a veteran (or anyone else really), choosing a different organization to buy or refinance a home with.
