This has been the best experience I ever had when I comes to buying a home. My loan team was so helpful in getting us on the right path and guiding us through. They treat veterans with the up most respect. My credit was a little under the mark and they connected me with the assistance and the tools i needed to get it where I needed it to be. Thanks for everything

We truly appreciate Veteran's United. They were extremely professional and so helpful
Throughout the entire process.

This has been a great process. There was a small hiccup with the appraiser but because Amy and Suzie both has vast knowledge and experience, it was easy to get through.

The entire team was caring and supportive, and helped pull me over the finish line!

Extremely sick with Covid, I would love to acknowledge so many others, just am not up to it at this moment. Can I possibly fill this section out at a later time?
Thanks
Donna Kirkendall 🙏

Scott and Bryce were the main two people that I worked with and they were very knowledgeable and helpful throughout this entire process. As a first time home buyer they made this experience very easy for myself and my family.

Veterans United should create a template for the different military branches for the letter of service. This was my biggest complaint. If there was a template showing the style and items necessary the process would be easy for loan applicant.

Wouldn’t have been able to close the home without them! Getting the COE wouldn’t have been possible without Dustin and the team. Ben made the transition of utilities and insurance super easy and seamless. Andrew and Katie helped make underwriting process very easy to follow uploading the document super convenient with the MyVU app. Super appreciative of everyone’s effort in getting this home. Thank you!

Overall, a success! Mission accomplished. There were few disappointments and bumps in the road though. The property listed for $175 K . I offered $183 K at my realtors suggestion. I was led to believe this overage would be used for closing costs and/or other concessions as long as the VA appraised at $ 183K. They did not and appraised it only for $175K. Due to a discrepancy in the square footage of living space, a request was made to have a ROV which was done with no changes in the appraisal. So I had to come up with the extra $8K in order to close and secure the property. This caused me significant problems and I was required to ask for monetary gifts in order to close the deal. It appears none of the parties understand why the VA would not change the appraisal value once the Sq.Ft. issue was corrected. Its seems a mystery to me. One has to be sure the VA will appraise the value of the property to the buyers satisfaction.

My overall experience was great. This being my first time purchasing the home Colin and the team made it go super smoothly. They all kept me in the loop and communicated with me very consistently. I would recommend any veteran thinking of buying a home to go through veterans United!
