I wish the whole process had been easier. My daughter told me she wishes she had written more in her survey about problems she had, but was just thankful the purchase was complete. I find this last part very maddening. While I should be making arrangements to more, I have to contact someone to try to get the credit card paid that should have been paid a week ago. I wired the money at closing, but the mortgage company has not paid the account yet. This should not be an issue. I have purchased homes before and never had to deal with all of this.
As a military member, you can't go wrong with the VA loan, and you definitely couldn't go wrong with choosing Veterans United to assist you with your home buying experience. With their welcoming atmosphere and knowledgeable staff, not to mention the awesome rates that are offered, Veterans United has my highest recommendation for any and all service members, past, present and future.
Make sure to get the paperwork in early so you can avoid extensions
I will recommend anyone and everyone I know to Veterans United Home Loans because they made our experience amazing. We love our new home and it's all thanks to the gang there. Again, Brooks Onishi, Kai Kalua-Dansbury and and Kevin Clarke's team is the best in Hawaii!!!!
Since getting out of the Corps in 96, this is my second home purchase, while I can only speak about my experience, I was very pleased with Derek and Krista with the whole VA home loan process and would recommend them anytime😀

To all my sister and brother veterans, please be advise that it is always better to buy then to rent.
I always had that feeling that i could never make this journey to own my very own property.
You have to call Ginny Young and she will make it happen from the very start.
I'm living a dream with my new beautiful home and pay less mortgage payments then my studio apt rent in NY.
I was ready to walk away from the deal because I was living in a hotel for a month waiting on the closing date ..it just seem to drag on and on .Justin and Kelly were the reason I hung in there .
The loan team was amazing. From the beginnings of pre-approval (Heather) to the loan process with Matt, and closing with Samantha . It was an easy transition through each step process. They all introduced themself and always where available to answer any questions that we had. It's a great team to have behind you to help make your first home buying experience stress less. Thank you guys.

Best people you want when looking for a home!!!
Highly recommend Verterans United for your mortgage. They made the entire process easy and were supportive through the entire process.
Being that I was out of the country and looking for a home the team made the process very easy for me and I wouldn't change anything. They were great
I worked with Alex and Sheila. I thought buying a home would be difficult and the loan process would be long and drawn out because thats all I've heard from others. I was able to do a quick close and the process couldn't have gone any more smooth. Everytime I called Alex picked up to answer a question and if he wasn't i don't think i had to wait more than a few minutes to get a call back. They went the extra mile for me and I couldn't be more appreciative of this whole process and being able to own my first home.
Veterans United will work tirelessly to put you in the interest rate and plan that is best for you !!
The Only comments that we have are they same that we mentioned above about how the VA could let such things get passed through or overlooked such as not having smoke detectors in the bedrooms not having a fire door that leads from the house to the garage it's a six panel decorator door with no metal!!!! These items are safely issues and we are very upset about this that the VA wouldnt look out for our family safety better than this!!! and now we have to come out of our pocket to fix them and we feel that that's not fair and that's upsetting to us. I guess there is another complaint that we have with the whole VA lLoan Lending process is the VA funding fee this was extremely high and very hard for us !!! Financially This just really hurts my heart knowing that my husband put his life on the the line for this Country that "We Both Love Very Much" And we feel grateful that there is a VA Loan out there but what it does offer is no money down and then before we knew it we had to bring in a deposit which we were told that we would get it back at closing (Nope Didn't happen used Every penny and needed more!!!) We feel if you are buying VA you shouldn't have to bring any money as a Deposit !!! Then there's the VA Whopper of a funding fee whoo it is so very high that it was very upsetting to see.I think the VA should help families tmote than this ,Veterans should be treated better and not have such high fees I know we get zero down but then you get knocked with such a high VA funding fee I don't think that that's fair and that hurt us a lot financially so that would be my biggest complaint and my only complaint really is a safety and the fees thank you for everything
Thank you so very much for your time and concern

Government requirements are lengthy and numerous, for understanding reasons. I am thankful to Mr. Kundert and Mr. Barroso for their willingness and dedication, making my experience of buying my house, impressive and recommendable to say the list.
