I wish when using a family members cash for a donor gift - I wouldnt have been told to deposit it into my account in order to use it for funds...... to later be told I couldn't use it or my mother as a donor at all. when if we knew the deposited cash wouldn't have worked my mother would Have figured out another way to still donate me my down payment. Alot of the process seemed to take longer than needed over not being called back or answered promptly. Sometimes, it would take over a day or so for a response after I was told he could close my house in 30 days or less. That didn't happen. I was often told told to do an exact thing and then told that it was not acceptable.
My loan team has been great. They are easy to work with, great with communication, and are punctual!
Veterans United was the best lender I have worked with, originally a local bank denied our loan due to confusion as to how VA income worked. One phone call to Veterans United and we had a pre approval letter to put an offer in. It took months 5 inspections, hours of negotiations, and 8 months of work but we were able to close on our dream home.Aaron was fantastic, Zach did an amazing job as well. If I didn't have a lender committed to helping veterans as much as Veterans United we wouldn't have this house
