Veterans United made me feel welcomed from the 1st phone call I made. The entire team made me feel as part of their family. If you select Veterans United as your mortgage company, you won't be disappointed. I give them 5 🌟 Stars for professionalism and customer service.
I am very pleased with the Veterans United experience.
If you have the chance, do it.
Fantastic help in buying a home from the whole team. True professionals all around and wouldn’t use anyone else for this journey.
If I could give Shawnee 20/10 stars, it still wouldn’t be enough. She was there for me from our first phone call (over 6 months ago) until closing day. I knew absolutely nothing about the home buying experience, or what to expect, and Shawnee broke everything down for me step by step. She was there when I was freaking out and there when I was excited- at times she also served as a therapist! She would be taking her daughter to ballet class after work, and would still take my calls. Her knowledge of the industry and experience made any and every question I had (and trust me there were A LOT) completely understandable- plus, she is truly just the nicest person- I think if I lived anywhere near Missouri we would be friends! And Paige! Honestly when I started communicating with Paige I wasn’t even really sure if she was a real person, because she is THAT lightning fast. Emails are answered before you can even hit the send button- and she set a to-do list for me that easily communicated each task I needed to complete. I thought she was robot, but then realized that she, like Shawnee are just impeccable at their jobs. I’m truly going to miss talking to them. For anyone reading this, THESE are the women you want by your side during the home buying process. I couldn’t have imagined anything better.Thank you both so SOOO much! I am externally grateful. With love and gratitude ,Piper Phillips
All I can say is they know their stuff.
I still am getting emails about APPLYING for a loan. I received these emails and phone calls throughout. Don’t you have a database with my information? I also spoke with several people about the same things (setting up utilities, getting insurance, etc) and felt like I was never properly taken care of. I also asked, at least once a week, for a number/date/and how to pay and was completely left in the dark or given bad information. I also spent hundreds to thousands more, than if I would have used my buddy’s mortgage company. Things like, an inspection that I waved or the MISSED CLOSING DEADLINE. To Zach, “it was no big deal,” to close the following Monday or Tuesday, after the scheduled day and time of 1pm Friday March 18th. I don’t know what it’s like in Missouri, but here in the DC metro area, when you don’t honor agreements/meet deadlines, there are consequences/penalties. I had to give the seller an extra $1000 to hold the sale for 4 days. I also have spent hundreds more and been scrambling due to actually moving. It started with having to get a storage unit that Friday. I’ve been in my new home for almost 2 weeks now and I still don’t have everything moved in, let alone set up. Things like pool tables and hot tubs, that were setup to be delivered and SETUP/INSTALLED for Saturday the 19th, are now just in my place, waiting on help to be setup/installed by myself and a friend, or rescheduled for delivery. I hope to be settled in by next week, but have zero faith in that happening. I work everyday til next Friday, and I don’t drive. I had requested off the 18th and 19th, over 2 months prior, and had drivers/movers/installers all lined up. Plus, not for nothing, but I’m about $40k down, due to selling off stock, to have money in my checking account, for closing and whatever else. I will NEVER apply for a loan again. I definitely have PTSD from this ordeal.
Response from Veterans United
Hello Vincent, we thank you for sharing your comments and we understand the frustration you may have encountered during the loan process. While we are glad to see we were able to get you into you home, it sounds like it was not without some trepidation of potential and actualized hurdles. We do understand the personal matters you expressed to your loan team and the time constraints you were under in providing the documentation needed to proceed, but would like to further dig into some of those lingering concerns. One of our Client Advocate team members is available to speak with you and discuss ways that we can improve for future customers. Please reach out to us for additional support.
To my potential Veteran homebuyers you will not be disappointed with Veterans United.
My entire Loan Team was very professional and ensured that all my questions were answered and my concerns were addressed in a timely manner. In addition, they ensured that I received everything that I was entitled to as a Veteran. They were very knowledgeable of the benefits, eligibility and processes. This is my 4th home and this is by far my best experience with the home buying process. I rate them with 10 + stars. Highly recommend them to you, my family and friends on their next home purchase.
